Christie Boucher

Risk Services Manager, Guild Insurance

Christie has 20 years’ experience as an educator having started her career as a secondary school health and physical education teacher.  For more than 10 years Christie’s career has been focused on developing risk management education resources and programs for various professionals.  Christie has a keen interest in the role education can play in managing risk by raising awareness and changing behaviour.

 

 

 

Rose Fahey

Registered Nurse 

Rose Fahey has worked in Infection Prevention and Control for 28 years. She currently works as the Infection Prevention and Control Manager at Calvary Wakefield Hospital in Adelaide.

Rose is also engaged as a consultant to health care facilities nationally in a variety of settings including for AHPRA, HICMR, the ADASA and the South Australian Dental Board.

She has a special interest in education, sterilisation services compliance and office-based practice.

Rose is a registered nurse with a Graduate Certificate in Infection Control from the Adelaide University, a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and has nationally recognised training auditing credentials.

Jason Gill

Psychologist

Jason Gill is a Clinical Psychologist who currently works four days per week in private practice in Adelaide and one day a week for the government at Eastern Community Mental Health. He has a strong interest in treating Borderline Personality Disorder, a disorder characterised by difficulties regulating emotions as well as inhibiting mood-dependent, impulsive, and frequently destructive behaviours.

Jason’s other area of interest is treating the various anxiety disorders. These include generalised anxiety disorder, panic attacks, specifics phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and social anxiety. As is common for many psychologists, Jason uses components from various
treatments when working with his clients, in order to find the
most beneficial techniques for each individual.

Arnie Jabour

Arnie has over 40 years’ experience in the dental industry, starting in the Royal Australian Navy as a dental assistant Dental Technician Dental Educator, he went on to manage dental clinics and the Navy’s dental training school.

In 2007 he Graduated from TAFE NSW as a dental prosthetist and continues to practice privately.

Since joining Ivoclar Vivadent in 2001, Arnie has developed the Biofunctional prosthetic system courses in conjunction with the Suction effective Mandibular courses and trained over 500 clinicians and technicians. He teaches removable prosthetics nationally and internationally.

He continues to develop Ivoclar Vivadent’s removable prosthetic side of the business, and derives a great deal of satisfaction from visiting clients and seeing them grow in their understanding of the benefits of precision quality removable and implant prosthetics.

As Ivoclar Vivadent’s Clinical and technical trainer, he has introduced Suction Effective Mandibular denture techniques into Australia, where it has become one of the most important developments in retention and stability of lower dentures. More recently, Arnie is involved in the testing and implementation of Ivoclar Digital Dentures.

A/Prof Sharon Liberali BDS (Adel); Grad.Dip.Clin.Dent; D.Clin. Dent (SND); FRACS (SND); FICD; FPFA

A/Professor Liberali completed her undergraduate dental degree at the University of Adelaide in 1986 and was awarded a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Special Needs Dentistry at the University of Adelaide in 2009. In 2010 she became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the special field of Special Needs Dentistry. In 2011 she was awarded a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD) and in 2013 a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

A/Professor Liberali is the Director and Senior Consultant of the Special Needs Unit, Adelaide Dental Hospital, SA Dental Service, and holds an honorary Associate Dental Consultant position at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She is the Program Director of the specialist training program in Special Needs Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, Faculty of Health Sciences,
University of  Adelaide and is the Principal Dentist at Health Partners Dental.

A/Professor Liberali is a past President of the SA Branch of the Australian Dental Association and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Special Needs Dentistry.

A/Professor Liberali currently Chairs the National ADA Infection Control Committee, and is the ADA representative on the HE-023 committee for Standards Australia and the NHMRC Infection Control Guidelines Advisory committee. She is a panel member on the RACDS Board of Studies for Special Needs Dentistry, as well as the Constitution Committee of the SA Branch of the Australian Dental Association.

Prof Lindsay C. Richards BDS BScDent PhD MRACDS FADI FICD

Lindsay Richards is a specialist prosthodontist and Professor at the Adelaide Dental School – Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. Lindsay joined the academic staff in the Dental School in 1982 as a lecturer in restorative dentistry.

Lindsay has recently been involved in undergraduate teaching in prosthodontics, general practice and rural practice; postgraduate teaching as Course Director of the specialist prosthodontics program; and research involving tooth wear, dento-facial development in twins and indigenous oral health.

Over the years Lindsay has spent periods of study leave working in the United States, Israel, Japan and the United Kingdom.

Stephen McGlynn

Steve has been a dental technician for 40 years and a dental prosthetist for 34 years. He has been in private practice with a commercial laboratory for 30 years.

Steve was a board member of the NSW Dental Council from National Registration in 2010 to 2017.

Steve chaired the NSW Dental Council Dental Technicians Education Account Committee which provided funding for Cad cam equipment and microscopes to Randwick TAFE and a scholarship program in conjunction with the Poche Centre and TAFE for Indigenous Australians.

Steve conducts training courses and lectures regularly in Australia and overseas.

He has a passion for education and is a keen swimmer, golfer and follower of AFL.

Chris Ristevski

Partner Acquisition Manager, Guild Insurance

With over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Chris has worked extensively with associations, establishing meaningful connections whilst striving to deliver bespoke insurance solutions and risk programs specifically tailored for their members. During this time, Chris has gained significant insight into the operational and executive exposures of industry associations and some of the challenges that are faced by the industry. He is an integral member of Guild Insurance, helping to drive change that creates value to our customers.

 

Ms Megan Walker

Director, Markey Savvy

Megan Walker is a health marketing expert with over 20 years’ experience working with hospitals, specialists, medical research institutes, private practices, general practice and allied health practices. She is particularly passionate about the role of health in the community and her style of marketing helps practitioners to connect their expertise with the people who need it most – people in the local community with health conditions and concerns.

Megan is degree qualified in business, communications and has a Master of Business Marketing. She is a Certified Practising Marketer, Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Megan is a regular health marketing trainer for peak bodies and health membership groups . Her clients include practices of all shapes and sizes, both local and national and she has worked with over 200 health practices to achieve lasting success.
